The Road Par Excellence

Where does this massive, smooth and mood lifting road begin? It begins from Bongde Lhakhang one of the oldest Lhakhang in Paro valley preffered to be ignored by many passersby  simply because it is so close to the National Highway.
Neverthe less, the point I want you to be interested in is that road that has the potential to bring multiple economic benefits to the surrounding area if locals or venture capitalists chose to transform the area  into tourist and Entertainment attraction hub.
The road is so wide, broad, smooth with gentle curves and very minimal gradient relishing enough fo a joy ride with family amidst the fresh aroma of Blue pine dotting the mini hillocks and cool and fresh mountain air begging to caress you as you pass by.
The road looks a Paradise for Health enthusiasts and Mountain bikers from Thimphu and adjoining areas, I encourage the viewers of this article to spread the word to Mountain bikers, hikers, trekkers, Tourist guides, Tourist and general Public alike.
One can have almost 360degree view of the Majestic Paro Valley right from the tip of Ugyen Tsemo above Taktsang in the front left corner to Sanngag Chokhor Lhakhang, the Zurey Lhakhang, the Taa Dzong, the Magnificient Rimpung Dzong, the Paro International Airport and the massive rice bowl of Paro and the Confluence of the Paro chhu sheltering below Bonge Bridge.
Dzongdrakha Lhakhang, the predecessor of Taktsang proudly hangs out of the precarious cliff on the the extreme left, Kilo Gonpa, Nunnery in the background and bit of Chele La.
As one turns towards right the Chang village, Bongde, Shaba adorned with Lhakhangs such as Pelri, Yuthok Gonpa, Drag Karpo and the legendary Dongkarla and the list goes on.
The direction and oreintation of the sighting I have described is that of the trip down the hill but the spectacle is no different even as you snake up the hills.
I must say it has been a rare and real treat to my eyes to have the opportunity  to observe all these religious Monuments, historical and cultural sites of Paro from a vantage point that has been leveraged multifolds by the Road I call " Road to Eternity"....... Rest will follow in the next episode.
